Two years on – energy use data from Ladybarn retrofit

Ladybarn retrofit

The house is performing well – from a comfort point of view, the owner says it’s a delight to live in. We now have a second year’s worth of gas and electricity data – this gives us an average of 4,594 kWh per year, which is a reduction in gas usage of 26.4% compared to before the retrofit. PHPP had predicted a drop of 36% for gas – the lower actual figure is probably attributable to a colder pre-retrofit house than what was assumed (we assumed 15 degrees average). Electricity has increased only 4.8% compared to 15% predicted by PHPP. More info on this project here.
