Retrofit and Passivhaus Expertise
ColdProof was founded by Eric Fewster, a Certified Passivhaus Consultant and trainer, as well as a Chartered Water and Environmental Manager and Chartered Environmentalist. Eric has been delivering low energy retrofit since 2008 when he tackled his own house. He is a member of the Passivhaus Trust, AECB, Superhomes Network, and is an approved trainer for the Coaction CIC Passivhaus contractor training.
Prior to his work in low energy retrofit, Eric worked in various humanitarian emergencies in Africa and Asia, helping to deliver clean water and sanitation. During this time he founded BushProof, an award-winning business based in Madagascar. More recently during the COVID-19 pandemic, Eric led a number of public health researchers to develop guidance on infection prevention and control for the UK’s care home sector in order to help stem the spread of coronavirus.
